The gas station I went to had brand new pumps, and I noticed the car on the screen has been upgraded from that nasty first gen F-body.
The wheels on that C4 are pretty bad, though.
I’d take the Mustang.

A first-gen F-body? Never seen that on fuel pump screens. Usually they have monochrome Parsh.

I drove through some small towns on the eastern plains of Colorado the other day, and I made the mistake of leaving Wray without filling up. It would have been fine as I had a half tank , but I ended up driving into a headwind and it cut the van’s MPG to about single digits. Every gas station I passed had old school pumps that didn’t take my fleet card. Fortunately I made it to a truck stop in Strasburg right as the range meter gave up and showed dashes.

Those certainly are several words. :)
Every gas station I worked in had a Veeder Root controller for the tanks. I think the most I ever thought about it was in the sentence “Why is the Veeder Root beeping again? Oh, it stopped.”

Almost e very one I’ve seen here shirks even the graphics - they just have a flat backlit monochrome screen that only asks for identification before you pump and asks if you want your receipt.
One of the Shell stations had the “gas station TV” things for a while, but after a couple of months they went back to the traditional blue Veeder screens like you have above, except with only the occasional Shell logo.
